VMAT/RapidArc® option now available on EPIgray® and MU2net
Radiation oncology firm DOSIsoft has developed new software options for its QA products to be compatible with VMAT/RapidArc® technique.
EPIgray®, in vivo monitoring system based on Electronic Portal Imaging Device (EPID) and MU2net, independent MU calculation system, now both work for all major treatment techniques: 3D conformal, IMRT, VMAT.
EPIgray® is designed to automatically alert users to dose deviations during treatment and provide secure and real-time remote access through a web-based dashboard. It works from patient plan data (RP, RS, RD…) and EPID images to reconstruct the in situ dose and compare it to the planned dose.
EPIgray® has received 510(k) clearance from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the European CE Mark.
MU2net is a standalone application designed to verify Monitor Unit calculations performed by Treatment Planning Systems (TPS), independently from TPS. The double calculation of MU works from the original DICOM files and checks the validity of TPS computed MU. It automatically intercepts the DICOM files sent to the Record&Verify system and triggers an alert in case of MU discrepancy. Results are also available on a dedicated web-based dashboard.
